Heaven on Earth is the Editorial Playing with Historical, Spiritual and Biblical Tales

Heaven on Earth is about the contrast between deeply ingrained ideas of old and how through todays lens these take on a new meaning. We see an angel frolicking under pink light; this is modelled from Archangel Chamuel who represents love and peace. Our knights in shining armour echo the more recent conversations surrounding Joan of Arc's gender. Our 'girl with the golden face' is a modern take on 'The mask of Agamemnon' which is an artifact from the Greek bronze age; placing a solid gold mask over a persons face in their tomb was symbolic of honour, wealth and status.
