Lucha Libre Beauty is Finding the Soft Glamour in Wrestling

We love luchadores' masks and have always wanted to do a photoshoot inspired by the shapes from some of our favorite luchas. Wrestling is typically associated with machismo and we love the way the makeup artist, Virginia Vera, juxtaposed the inspiration with some softer beauty elements, like diamonds and flowers. On a personal note, I've always used makeup as a way to create the outward persona I put on when I'm out in public so it seems fitting to take inspiration from the characters created in the lucha libre ring to make some dynamic beauty looks. We really hope you like them.
