SLIP SLAP SLOP is a satirical ode to Australiana. For those that don't know, 'SLIP SLAP SLOP' is a campaign slogan to remind people to protect themselves from sun damage when at the beach: slip on a shirt, slap on a hat and slop on some suncream. These are those sweaty, tantrum-filled, sunburnt family beach days out

I am from Sydney and spent my childhood there but then moved to London for my teen years where I now still live and work.14 years on, I still miss Sydney. I miss beach culture. As I've grown up, I've come to realise that nothing quite soothes me like the sound of waves washing up on the sand. They make me feel safe and whisper the remnants of happy childhood memories in my ear. I wanted to create work in my home city that not only laughs at the dry, graceless side of white beach culture but also to merge my present with my past and honour the memory I hold in my head of sitting in my mothers arms, staring at the evening waves after a long day of swimming and sibling fights. The peace amongst chaos. And everything it has given me since. SLIP SLAP SLOP shows the chaos, but it makes me remember the evening peace.

Rahnee is based in Sydney and specialises in VHS & Lo Fi imagery and film photography that is both fashion and graphic. She is intimate in all things Club Kid, chaotic, Punk and gender.
